Job summary

JustOT is recruiting a Band 6 Locum Occupational Therapist to join an elderly rehabilitation team in Suffolk. The role focuses on supporting older adults to regain independence and return home safely through robust assessment, discharge planning and rehabilitation strategies.

The post requires HCPC registration, substantial Band 6 experience in elderly rehab, and the ability to manage a complex caseload independently while driving a car to support community transfers.

JustOT is currently recruiting for a Band 6 Locum Occupational Therapist to join an elderly rehabilitation team based in Suffolk.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist with a strong background in rehabilitation and discharge planning, supporting older adults to regain independence and return home safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage a complex caseload of older adults.
• Assess mobility, transfers, falls risk and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and deliver rehabilitation programmes within short timeframes to support safe and timely discharge home.
• Lead discharge planning from admission through to the transition back into the community.
• Complete onward referrals to ensure appropriate ongoing care and support.
• Provide guidance and support to junior staff and students where required.

Essential Requirements:

• HCPC registration.
• Previous experience working at Band 6 level within elderly rehabilitation.
• Strong assessment, rehabilitation and discharge planning skills.
• Ability to manage a complex caseload independently.
• Must be a car driver.
