Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a patient-focused pharmacist to join the Renal Pharmacy Team within NHS Tayside. You will provide expert clinical input to patients with chronic kidney disease, dialysis, and renal transplant recipients, ensuring safe, effective and evidence-based use of medicines.

The successful candidate will work closely with consultant nephrologists and specialist nurses, supporting service development and education across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Registered with GPhC and an independent prescriber.
• Significant post-registration clinical pharmacy experience, ideally including renal medicine or another specialist area.
• Working towards advanced practice or equivalent level.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical input to patients with CKD, dialysis, and renal transplant recipients.
• Collaborate with consultant nephrologists, specialist nurses, and multidisciplinary teams to optimise medicines.
• Contribute to service development, guidelines, and local prescribing practices; deliver education and training.
