Job summary

NHS Tayside in Scotland is seeking a Senior Clinical Pharmacist to join the Medicine for the Elderly Clinical Pharmacy Team. You will help transform pharmaceutical care across boundaries and align with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s Core Advanced Pharmacist Curriculum.

You will provide pharmaceutical care to frail and older adults across Ninewells Hospital and Angus community hospitals, ensuring medicines are used safely and effectively. Training and accreditation support are available.

Qualifications

• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) is required.
• Prescribing qualification or willingness to work towards one is essential.
• Clinical environment experience and portfolio development are expected.
• Commitment to continuing professional development is essential.

Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive medication review to optimise therapy and improve patient outcomes.
• Identify and manage potential medication-related harm.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across the patient pathway.
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
