Job summary

NHS Tayside's Women, Children and Families Pharmacy Team welcomes a Clinical Pharmacist to join a dynamic, supportive service across paediatrics, neonatology, obstetrics and gynaecology. You will help deliver high-quality medicines care and contribute to governance, formulary resources and education within a multidisciplinary environment.

Registered with GPhC and an Independent Prescriber or working towards it, you will work autonomously within your scope and develop across advanced practice

Qualifications

• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Registered Independent Prescriber, or working towards this qualification.
• Committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
• Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Able to work autonomously within scope while contributing to multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality clinical pharmacy services across WCF specialties.
• Provide expert medicines advice to multidisciplinary teams, patients and carers.
• Support safe prescribing and medicines optimisation across clinical areas.
• Utilise Independent Prescriber qualification or develop towards its application.
• Participate in service development, quality improvement and medicines governance initiatives.
• Contribute to education and training activities within pharmacy and multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop across four pillars of advanced practice through a structured plan.
