University Hospitals Of Leicester NHS Trust in Lincoln is seeking a Haemodialysis support worker to assist the multidisciplinary team within the outpatient setting at Lincoln County Hospital.

You will provide clinical and non-clinical support, undertake patient observations, and help with documentation and IT data entry under appropriate supervision. The role includes completing specified care tasks and working 6 days a week with variable shift patterns.

• Following training and gaining competencies to cannulate and commence dialysis on patients under supervision.
• Complete all necessary documentation (both written and database) for treatment outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients and staff to ensure safe practice and high standard of care.
• IT skills in updating preset database and basic care of patients undergoing a clinical treatment.

We provide care to a cohort of patients undergoing Haemodialysis within an outpatient setting in the grounds of Lincoln County Hospital.
Provide clinical and non-clinical support to the multi-professional team under the direction of an appropriate registered health care professional. Provide clinical and non-clinical support to the multi-professional team under the direction of an appropriate registered health care professional.
Deliver direct and indirect care as delegated under the direction and supervision of an appropriate registered health care professional.
Support the delivery of effective health care to patients/service users by undertaking duties as identified by the multi-professional team.
Undertake specified and unsupervised aspects of care and therapeutic intervention as delegated by the registered health care professional within an agreed protocol, sphere of responsibility and after completing appropriate competency-based training agreed by the Trust.
We open 6 days a week Mon-Saturday 07:00-23:00 (exception on Christmas day and New years day when we may operate on a Sunday).
The shift pattern is usually 3X10rs and 1X7.5hrs although 5x7.5hrs is available.

• Basic care of patients undergoing a clinical treatment.
