The regulatory landscape in Financial Services has grown more complex since 2008, with significant changes including RDR, prudential regimes, Consumer Duty, MiFID II, AIFM, UCITS, and upcoming reforms like AGBR. Navigating these requires strong regulatory knowledge and understanding of business activities, governance, and the SMCR.

This role involves shaping policy, governance, and best practices for remuneration regulation, managing compliance activities, and ensuring remuneration policies support good conduct and align with our values. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure operational and regulatory compliance, including:

  • Review and maintain the Material Risk Taker (MRT) Framework
  • Identify MRTs and communicate their status
  • Maintain MRT lists and track changes
  • Analyze proportionality and update policies
  • Model and oversee MRT pay ratios
  • Draft governance and regulatory reports
  • Prepare remuneration disclosures and policy statements
  • Review Malus and Clawback policies annually
  • Support compliance reviews and audits
  • Monitor regulatory developments and market trends
  • Lead policy attestation and assurance work
  • Analyze risks related to remuneration, including M&A impacts

You will also support the wider reward agenda, including annual reviews, reporting, benefits, and share plans, working within a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment.
