Job summary

English Heritage is seeking a creative Visitor Experience Producer and Programmer to develop and deliver an engaging programme of events across our estate. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on production to shape the national visitor offer and attract diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Experience in creative production, programming or event planning within heritage, cultural, tourism or visitor attractions.
• Track record of developing and delivering engaging events for diverse audiences.
• Strong creative and conceptual thinking with ability to translate ideas into deliverable experiences.
• Understanding of audience insight and how to use data and feedback to shape programmes.
• Excellent relationship-building and collaboration across multiple teams.
• Strong organisational and project management skills to balance priorities.
• Confident communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to work in a complex, matrixed organisation.
• Passion for creating memorable visitor experiences and connecting people with England's heritage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver an inspiring programme of events and activities across the estate.
• Shape the national visitor offer by aligning strategic planning with creative production.
• Oversee planning of a varied annual programme across historic properties, ensuring deliverability and commercial viability.
• Champion inclusion and test new formats, trends, and partnerships to continuously improve the visitor experience.
• Maintain a national events calendar and support site teams with resources and guidance.
• Collaborate with colleagues and partners to deliver high-quality, engaging experiences that attract new audiences.
