Qualifications

• More than ten years of hands-on engineering experience in power generation projects.
• Progressive responsibility in large and complex projects.
• Insurance engineering experience with a lead insurer or reinsurer is beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent communication and negotiating skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide risk management advice through effective communication, evaluating risk exposures and offering loss estimates.
• Develop and implement tools to control and reduce financial risk focusing on knowledge, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
• Maintain and develop continuous professional engineering knowledge within areas of expertise.
• Enhance communication with clients, brokers and the insurance market to maintain credibility as a leading insurer.
• Develop objectives for visits within technical risk management programmes with underwriters and insureds' management.
• Foster a continuous improvement philosophy within the team and workflow.
• Expand knowledge beyond core expertise to support underwriting and claims through education and training.
