Job summary

High Profile Resourcing Ltd is seeking a Part-Time Payroll Manager to take end-to-end ownership of payroll for a multi-site UK workforce. The role is home-based with occasional UK-wide travel and a 4-day week.

You will manage Moorepay, ensure timely and accurate payroll, and maintain robust controls in a fast-growing business, working closely with HR and Finance to deliver compliant pay and year-end processing.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on UK payroll experience, multi-site ownership.
• Strong Moorepay experience is essential.
• Thorough knowledge of UK payroll legislation (PAYE, NI, RTI, pensions).
• Experience with complex/variable payrolls.
• Payroll reconciliations and control experience.
• Experience producing payroll journals and reports.
• Strong Excel and data analysis for payroll.
• Excellent stakeholder communication.
• Calm under pressure with immovable deadlines.
• Discreet handling of sensitive data.
• Pragmatic, hands-on, solutions-focused.
• Clear communicator who explains payroll issues to non-specialists.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete payroll cycle from data collection to payment and reconciliation.
• Establish payroll calendar and control framework.
• Process starters, leavers, changes, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and other inputs.
• Ensure tax codes, NI, student loans, and other deductions are correct.
• Review outputs before approval and investigate variances.
• Coordinate year-end activity including P60s.
• Act as Moorepay SME and liaison for system issues.
• Maintain payroll records and audit trails for UTC compliance.
• Collaborate with HR and Finance on lifecycle events affecting pay.
• Produce payroll MI for HR, Finance and senior leadership.
