The Business Development Manager Role:

Our BDMs are vital to our success. You’ll wear many hats, including:

  • Master Mentor: Leading and mentoring 60-80 Travel Consultants (TCs)
  • Clever Coach: Guiding TCs in supplier selection, technology use, and confidence building
  • Business Advisor: Spotting and teaching about business opportunities
  • Savvy Sales Person: Teaching deal-closing skills and financial awareness
  • Creative Communicator: Simplifying complex issues and motivating your team
  • Magical Marketeer: Collaborating with marketing to equip TCs
  • Customer Service Guru: Ensuring excellent client experiences
  • Data Analyst: Monitoring performance and providing feedback

About You:

Essential:

  • Proven coaching and mentoring skills
  • Experience achieving sales targets in travel
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Leadership experience in sales management
  • Problem-solving ability
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Familiarity with technology and social media
  • Basic marketing knowledge
  • Customer service excellence
  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • In-depth travel industry knowledge

Desirable:

  • Experience running your own business
  • Lead generation through marketing channels
  • Professional coaching qualification (e.g., ILM level 5)
