Placements24 is seeking a highly analytical and proactive Remote Transport Planner & Route Optimizer to join our client’s logistics team. This fully remote role focuses on designing efficient transportation routes using advanced software, driving cost reductions and delivery performance across international regions.

The ideal candidate will leverage data analysis, mathematical modeling, and GIS insights to optimize routing, communicate effectively with remote teams, and ensure regulatory

Qualifications

• Proven experience in transport planning and route optimization
• Strong data-analysis skills and ability to interpret complex datasets
• Familiarity with GIS tools and mapping software is a plus
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for remote teams
• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, OR/Geography or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily deliveries using advanced route optimization software
• Analyze transport data to identify optimal routes and opportunities for savings
• Develop strategies to minimize mileage, fuel use, and delivery times
• Coordinate with dispatch and fleet managers for real-time route adjustments
• Prepare reports on route efficiency, cost savings, and performance metrics
• Identify risks and create contingency plans for proposed routes
• Stay updated on routing technology and logistics software
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and delivery commitments
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement in transportation planning
• Communicate decisions and impacts to internal stakeholders
