Placements24 is seeking a visionary Global Logistics Manager to lead international operations from a remote-first stance. You will manage a dispersed team, optimise multi-modal freight, and ensure compliance with global trade laws while driving cost efficiencies and performance across the supply chain.

The role demands 7–10 years of global logistics leadership, strong negotiation skills, and experience with trade management software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, SCM, or International Business.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 7–10 years global logistics management experience.
• Knowledge of international shipping, Incoterms, and trade compliance.
• Experience managing budgets and negotiating with carriers.
• Leadership of remote teams.
• Proficiency in trade management software.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, global remote environment.
• Fluency in English; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global logistics strategies.
• Manage international freight forwarding and all modes (ocean, air, land).
• Ensure compliance with trade laws, customs regulations, and import/export requirements.
• Negotiate contracts with global carriers and providers.
• Optimize transportation costs while maintaining service levels.
• Oversee tracking and visibility systems for shipments.
• Develop relationships with customs brokers and trade partners.
• Lead and mentor a global logistics team.
• Identify and mitigate risks in the global supply chain.
• Drive continuous improvement across logistics functions.
• Present performance reports to senior leadership.
