Uncertain times call for certain measures, and for L&C customers, they come in the form of protecting what matters most: their homes, families, and lifestyles. Being a Protection Adviser during this period is not only about offering reassurance but also about having a role that offers a steady career path with clear progression.
In this role, you'll listen empathetically to customers' concerns to recommend suitable insurance options such as Critical Illness Insurance, Income Protection, and Life Insurance. You'll document your findings and recommendations throughout the process.
Delivering outstanding customer care, regulatory adherence, and workload efficiency to exceed performance targets and KPIs is crucial. This will be achieved through attention to detail, a warm and friendly approach that builds rapport and trust, and understanding each customer's needs.
As L&C is regulated by the FCA, compliance is vital. You must deliver advice within strict regulatory rules and guidance, adhering to internal quality standards. This role falls under the FCA's Conduct element of the SM&CR regime, meaning you'll be personally subject to the five FCA Conduct Rules if successful. Training will be provided.
Since this is a customer-facing advice role, all Advisers (Mortgage & Protection) are treated equally to verify integrity, competence, and financial soundness.
Your background in sales and customer service has honed your listening skills and empathy, reassuring customers during important conversations. You're eager to advance your career, seeking personal and professional development.
You may have experience in finance or a related sector, with a strong interest in money matters, motivation to deliver excellent outcomes, and organizational skills to maximize bonus opportunities. You're confident, team-oriented, and committed to representing L&C's values.
