Placements24 is seeking a strategic Telecommunications Network Planner to contribute to growth, working remotely with a focus on the East London network strategy.

You will forecast network needs, design expansion plans, analyze traffic, evaluate new technologies, and develop long-term strategies to optimize coverage and performance.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years of experience, and excellent analytical and communication skills for remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications network design, planning, or engineering.
• Strong understanding of network architectures, capacity planning, and traffic analysis.
• Familiarity with various telecommunications technologies (fiber optics, wireless, IP networking).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze current network performance, traffic patterns, and capacity utilization.
• Develop detailed network expansion and upgrade plans, including capacity forecasts.
• Evaluate emerging telecommunications technologies and their potential impact on network strategy.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure alignment between planning and execution.
• Prepare reports and presentations on network capacity, performance, and future requirements.
