Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an innovative Telecoms Solutions Architect to join our client team on a hybrid basis in East London, South Africa. You will design end-to-end telecoms solutions, translate business needs into technical blueprints, and ensure scalable, secure systems that meet client requirements.

You will lead architecture discussions, collaborate with sales, engineering and product management, and present detailed proposals.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in telecommunications.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, cloud technologies, wireless communication, and telecom services.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end telecoms solutions, including network architecture, service integration, and technology selection.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and product management teams to understand customer requirements and market trends.
• Develop detailed technical proposals, diagrams, and presentations for prospective clients.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, platforms, and services to enhance solution offerings.

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing comprehensive and cutting-edge telecommunications solutions tailored to meet complex client needs. You will translate business requirements into technical blueprints, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of proposed systems. This position requires a deep understanding of the telecommunications landscape, excellent technical acumen, and the ability to articulate complex designs to both technical and non-technical audiences, driving the adoption of advanced telecom technologies in the Eastern Cape region.

Key Responsibilities
