Job summary

Marqeta is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead cross-functional technical workstreams across engineering, product, and design. The role involves coordinating complex projects, planning, and ensuring on-time delivery within scope.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience with Agile/Scrum, and excellent communication skills to align technical decisions with business needs. This position can be remote within the UK or based in our London, Holborn office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• 3+ years of technical program/project management experience.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies and processes (S-SDLC).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including explaining complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and development practices.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical projects from concept to completion, managing scope, schedule, and resources.
• Identify dependencies, risks, and issues; develop mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate communication between engineering, product, design, and business teams.
• Lead technical planning, estimation, and prioritization sessions.
• Document technical decisions and ensure alignment across stakeholders.
• Provide regular status updates to leadership and remove obstacles for engineering teams.
• Balance technical tradeoffs with business requirements and timelines.
