Job summary

Ark Victoria Academy in Birmingham is seeking a Teaching Assistant Apprentice for a 16-month programme, working to support pupils and assist the class teacher with curriculum delivery. All learning is delivered online/remote as part of the Level 3 Apprenticeship.

The role involves working with the SENCO and teachers to assess needs, adapt resources for EAL/SEND pupils, and participate in trips and classroom activities during contract hours.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at C/4 or above required.
• Experience building positive learning relationships with students.
• Familiar with the national curriculum and classroom routines.
• Ability to support planning and delivery of lessons.

Responsibilities

• Support pupil learning through targeted learning programmes.
• Promote inclusion and pupil collaboration.
• Assist with SENCO and Individual Education Plans.
• Observe, record and feedback pupil performance.
• Assist with class teaching and school trips.
