Job summary

Sunblink is hiring a Structural Steel Engineer to design, coordinate and detail steelwork for fabrication and construction projects. The role is fully remote across the UK, collaborating with design, workshop and site teams to ensure practical, fabrication-ready solutions.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5+ years of structural steel experience, strong knowledge of Eurocodes, and proficiency in Tekla or equivalent software. Remote work offers flexibility and a clear project lifecycle involvement.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in structural steel engineering (fabrication-focused).
• Experience with Eurocodes and UK construction standards.
• Proficient with Tekla Structures or similar detailing tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of structural steelwork for fabrication/construction projects.
• Produce and review steel connections, calculations and detailing packages.
• Coordinate with design, workshop, and site teams for buildable designs.
• Support value engineering and cost-effective design solutions.
• Provide technical input during pre-construction and live projects.
