Job summary

OpenTrain AI is seeking a Structural Engineer AI Task Creator for designing, creating, and evaluating AI training tasks based on real structural engineering challenges. This fully remote contract role supports UK applicants and offers flexible hours across 10–40 hours weekly with a commitment of 20+ hours.

You will translate advanced structural knowledge into precise tasks, write clear problem statements, develop scoring references, and test solutions across seismic and design codes.

Qualifications

• A structural engineering professional with applied analysis and design experience.
• Strong written communication skills in English.
• Ability to formulate realistic engineering problems and reliable scoring solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design AI training tasks based on structural analysis, design, simulation, and code compliance problems.
• Write clear, precise problem statements that test engineering reasoning.
• Develop deterministic scoring checkers and reference solutions.
• Create tasks covering pushover analysis, seismic design, FEA modeling, reinforced concrete design, steel connection detailing, and structural retrofit.
• Evaluate AI-generated responses for technical accuracy and compliance with standards.
