Job summary

Grafana Labs is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Security Assurance to join our 100% remote GRC engineering team. You will build automated security programs, improve observability, and drive security controls across SDLC for a cloud-native SaaS platform.

You’ll collaborate with engineers, security, and auditors while applying ISO, SOC 2, GDPR, PCI-DSS and related standards. UK-based applicants are encouraged; RSUs are included.

Qualifications

• Experience developing in production with Go, TS or Python; strong programming fundamentals.
• Familiarity with containerized, cloud-native apps and Kubernetes; multi-cloud is a plus.
• Understanding security frameworks (ISO, SOC 2, PCI DSS, NIST, GDPR) and applying them efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Be a technical contributor on the GRC team spanning certifications, app, cloud, and supply chain security.
• Develop automated security assurance programs to meet ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, PCI-DSS, and similar standards.
• Build security observability and control systems; integrate security into SDLC and pipelines.
• Deploy checks that enable developers and align with security policies; respond to incidents.
• Collaborate with security, engineering, and customer-facing teams to defend systems.
