Job summary

BCT Resourcing is seeking experienced Software Testers, Test Analysts and QA professionals for permanent and contract roles across the UK, with remote options. The roles cover financial services, technology, healthcare and more, focusing on validating requirements, defects and reliable software delivery.

Responsibilities include test planning, executing tests, documenting defects and supporting SIT/UAT/OAT, with opportunities for test automation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Software Tester, Test Analyst or QA Analyst.
• Strong knowledge of manual testing and software testing methodologies.
• Experience designing and executing test cases and test scripts.
• Understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TestRail or HP ALM.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test scenarios, test scripts and test cases.
• Perform functional, system integration, regression and end-to-end testing.
• Analyse business requirements and user stories to ensure appropriate test coverage.
• Identify, document, track and retest defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
• Support SIT, UAT and OAT.
• Validate system interfaces, APIs, databases and data integrations.
• Prepare test data and support test environment management.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts and stakeholders to resolve defects.
• Produce test execution reports, defect metrics and testing dashboards.
• Support test automation, release management and continuous improvement activities.
