Job summary

Howden is seeking a Software/QA Tester to run end-to-end UAT across the Tilt quote and buy journey, AI-powered features, and policy workflows. The role is fully remote in the UK, with strong emphasis on test automation and cross-functional collaboration.

You will craft test packs, log defects with steps, and work closely with underwriters, developers and delivery leads to ensure quality releases and compliant customer communications.

Qualifications

• Essential proven experience in software or QA testing with a solid grasp of UAT process and structured test case design.
• Ability to write bug reports that a developer can act on without back-and-forth.
• Methodical and detail-focused, able to repeat the same journey multiple ways to uncover issues.
• Good communicator, able to work directly with underwriters, developers and delivery leads.
• Experience building, deploying or using test automation.
• Familiarity with testing within insurance or insurtech and with Acturis or similar broking platforms.
• Exposure to testing AI-powered or conversational product journeys.

Responsibilities

• Run structured UAT on change activities with the tech stack, creating test packs, executing tests and reporting issues.
• Test AI-powered applications (quoting app, chat) and the Tilt App before releases across devices and OS versions.
• Verify website changes, CMS publishing, responsiveness, accessibility and A/B variant testing.
• Validate policy transactions and back-office mappings to ensure front-end and policy admin system alignment.
• Confirm analytics/marketing tracking fires correctly after releases and that consent behavior is correct.
