GitLab is seeking a Sr Manager, Technical Program Management to lead a team of TPMs within our Engineering org. This role shapes the new PMO function, partnering with Product and Engineering leaders to assign TPMs to high-priority programs and deliver customer value.

The successful candidate will mentor TPMs, influence staffing decisions, and drive long-term improvements to planning cadences and ways of working in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifikationen

• Experience as a people manager and TPM, ideally senior.
• Ability to prioritize and delegate work effectively.
• Proven track record of collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience developing and executing strategic team development plans.
• Ability to coach others on cross-functional product-driven initiatives.
• Proven ability to position team as trusted partners and thought leaders.

Aufgaben

• Directly lead and mentor a team of Technical Program Managers, providing regular feedback.
• Staffing and resourcing TPMs to align with business objectives.
• Create and maintain program management standards and a north star for the team.
• Develop long-term strategy and hiring plans for the TPM function.
• Build relationships with Engineering, Product, Security and GTM teams.
• Identify risks, resolve conflicts, and remove obstacles for timely delivery.
• Define and track KPIs and hold the team accountable to commitments.
• Lead strategic planning with staffing, timelines and stakeholders.
• Demonstrate leadership in line with GitLab values.
