Job summary

Cohere is seeking a seasoned Technical Program Manager to lead cross-functional AI/ML programs. You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, Platform, Infra, Policy, and Finance to drive complex initiatives from planning through delivery.

Ideal candidates have 5-10 years in TPM roles and 5+ years working directly on AI/ML, with deep NLP/LLM knowledge. The role embraces a remote-first culture with BST-friendly hours and global collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years as a Technical Program Manager and 5+ years in AI/ML.
• Deep knowledge of ML, NLP and LLMs; bonus for Multimodal AI.
• Experience in chaotic, fast-paced, low-structure environments.
• Hands-on understanding of AI/ML project management challenges.
• Experience with managing AI/ML projects.

Responsibilities

• Establish, scale and optimize cross-functional programs involving Product, Engineering, Legal, Platform, Infra, Policy, and Finance.
• Coordinate program planning, execution, and governance across multiple modeling teams.
• Drive risk mapping, dependencies, and resource planning to ensure on-time delivery.
• Build and maintain communication flows with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Partner with senior leadership to shape long-term strategy and program portfolio.
• Lead organizational initiatives to improve engineering execution rigor and operations.
• Align priorities with company goals and adapt to changing scopes quickly.
• Provide clarity on scope, milestones, and success metrics across programs.
• Ensure cross-functional execution and status updates to executives.
