Job summary

DoiT is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer to shape the foundation for our product and development teams. This remote, full-time role spans the UK, Ireland, Estonia, the Netherlands, Sweden and Israel, with contractor options in Eastern Europe and Portugal.

You will code hands-on with GCP/AWS, Kubernetes (GKE/EKS), Terraform, and CI/CD tools to design and deploy scalable platform services, ensure security, and partner with feature teams on roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on coding.
• 6+ years in platform engineering or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with GCP/AWS, Kubernetes (GKE/EKS), and Terraform.
• Proficiency in Go or TypeScript with knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Argo CD, Atlantis) and best practices.
• Excellent English communication; ability to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Act as an individual contributor within the team, collaborate with peers, and mentor others.
• Architect, design, and implement IaC using Terraform, with reusable modules and tests.
• Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters on GCP (GKE) and AWS (EKS).
• Develop and refine CI/CD pipelines for platform components.
• Diagnose and resolve platform issues; contribute to incident response.
• Drive automation to reduce manual tasks and improve reliability.
• Partner with development teams to understand infra needs and roadmap.
• Develop internal platform products and services across the lifecycle.
• Enforce security best practices and ensure compliance with SOC 2 & GDPR.
