Job summary

Ashdown Group is seeking a Senior .NET Developer to join a dynamic team. This fully remote role requires strong C#/.NET expertise, API design, and experience with distributed systems within an Agile environment. Candidates with energy or utilities sector exposure will be preferred.

The role focuses on shaping technical standards, mentoring peers, and delivering high-volume, secure transaction systems while maintaining scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial experience with .NET and C#.
• Experience building APIs, services and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows in Agile environments.
• Energy or utilities sector experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex features using modern .NET (C#).
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into robust technical solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Owners to refine, size and estimate work.
• Participate in sprint planning and story point estimation.
• Lead technical investigations and resolve production issues.
• Review code for maintainability, performance and security.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
• Support secure integrations using certificate-based authentication.
• Drive continuous improvement in quality and engineering standards.
