Job summary

Phoenix Software in the UK is hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead a portfolio of complex infrastructure projects for local government partners. You will drive cloud migrations, network upgrades, data centre transformations, and ensure delivery against scope, timescales, and budgets.

You will define objectives, manage stakeholders, and build strong relationships with customers and suppliers while guiding change initiatives to realise benefits.

Qualifications

• APRINCE2 Practitioner certification and extensive experience delivering complex ICT or technology projects.
• Experience delivering complex ICT or technology projects within local government.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience leading project teams and suppliers.
• Excellent planning, risk and budget management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
• Ability to deliver projects in a complex organisational environment.
• Customer-focused with a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of a portfolio of complex infrastructure projects.
• Manage major technology transformation initiatives including cloud migration and network upgrades.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables and success measures.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, managing resources, risks, dependencies, budgets and timescales.
• Build relationships with customers, sponsors, suppliers and technical teams to ensure delivery.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks and issues; resolve barriers.
• Support procurement and implementation of ICT systems; coordinate with procurement, legal and service management teams.
• Lead business change activities and realise benefits.
