Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a senior electrical building services leader in the UK. You will lead the electrical design and delivery of building services, guide technical strategies, and coordinate interfaces across disciplines to deliver high-quality results on complex projects.

You will develop capability, coach colleagues, strengthen client relationships and support business growth through bid leadership and value engineering, while upholding safety and sustainability best practices.

Qualifications

• Professional knowledge in electrical building services engineering with broad project experience.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent with relevant professional membership.
• Understanding of legislation, standards, guidance and common contracts.
• Experience leading significant single-discipline and multi-disciplinary design commissions.
• Strong commercial judgement, including fee development and cost control.
• Clear written and verbal communication to influence senior clients and stakeholders.
• Leadership and people management experience fostering inclusive teams.
• Client-focused approach with evidence of developing relationships and bids.
• Ability to balance complex information and seek specialist advice when needed.
• Commitment to safety, quality, innovation, digital delivery and CPD.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and technical delivery of building services projects with safe, compliant outcomes.
• Translate client requirements into technical strategies and practical design solutions.
• Act as discipline lead or technical reviewer on commissions with governance and risk management.
• Plan and direct project resources, monitor progress and deliver to programme and budget.
• Coordinate interfaces across architecture, structures, sustainability, fire and other disciplines.
• Build client relationships, present recommendations and negotiate complex issues.
• Shape bids and delivery strategies, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Develop capability by coaching and providing direction to colleagues.
• Support business growth by identifying opportunities and enhancing long-term client engagement.
• Set strategies for electrical infrastructure, power, lighting, life-safety, resilience and energy performance.
