Job summary

Energise is hiring a Senior Consultant in Carbon Accounting to own and deliver high‑quality carbon and Net Zero work for UK clients. You will lead complex projects from planning through to trusted outputs, applying your knowledge of footprints, reporting, and assurance to help customers reach their sustainability goals.

You will mentor junior colleagues, contribute to technical standards, and nurture strong client relationships while exploring new AI‑enabled methods to improve delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in carbon, environmental, or sustainability field.
• Proven experience delivering carbon footprinting across scopes 1-3 with GHG Protocol knowledge.
• Strong data interpretation and ability to present insights clearly.
• High attention to detail ensuring accuracy across deliverables.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; confident workshops.
• Experience mentoring junior colleagues.
• Experience delivering ESOS or other energy reporting.
• Curiosity about AI and approved tools to improve delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver carbon accounting projects across scopes 1-3 per GHG Protocol.
• Map Net Zero pathways and present data-driven stories to clients.
• Prepare complex footprints and reporting to an assurance-ready standard.
• Quality assure outputs and maintain assurance-readiness.
• Deliver ESOS, SECR, LCA, and supply chain assessments.
• Lead customer workshops and manage projects end-to-end.
• Mentor junior team members and maintain technical standards.
• Build trusted advisor relationships and identify growth opportunities.
• Research new technologies and use approved AI tools to improve delivery.
