Job summary

Delaney & Bourton is seeking an experienced Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join our Digital Development Team. You will design, build and maintain robust backend services powering eCommerce and search capabilities in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.

As a back-end specialist, you will work with ElasticSearch/AWS OpenSearch, Git and modern development practices within Agile Scrum/Kanban teams. You will contribute to architecture decisions, write clean code and help improve reliability

Qualifications

Back-end experience with Ruby on Rails.
Experience with relational databases and data modelling.
Experience in Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban).

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain backend services and applications
Build scalable solutions that support high-quality digital and eCommerce experiences
Collaborate with QA, product and wider technology teams
Contribute to architecture, development practices and improvements
Produce clean, maintainable and well-structured code
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
Identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability and development processes
Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices
