Job summary

CityJobs.com client is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Installation Engineer to join an Exeter-based engineering business. This site-based role involves delivering hands-on refrigeration installations across food manufacturing projects, often in a team or solo setting.

You will work across refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, fabric and general fitting tasks, liaising with site leads and clients. The role includes joining the on-call rota to support breakdowns out of hours and travel regionally or

Qualifications

• Mandatory F-Gas certification.
• CSCS card required for site access.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and P&IDs.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel regionally or nationally; on-site work.
• IPAF certification and Working at Heights experience recommended.
• Awareness of CDM Regulations.
• Experience using app-based job management systems.
• First Aid at Work / First Responder certification.

Responsibilities

• Install refrigeration equipment including freezers, fridges and cooling systems.
• Install pumps, pipework, heating and ventilation systems.
• Carry out plumbing, fabric, groundwork and general fitting tasks.
• Follow RAMS and read technical drawings.
• Communicate with clients and report progress to site leads.
• Identify and resolve on-site technical issues with team.
• Assist with servicing documentation and project sign-off.
• Join on-call rota and support breakdowns out of hours.
• Travel to regional and national sites as required.
