Job summary

A Manchester-based Real Estate Associate role offers primarily home-based work with the option to use the Manchester office. The position is permanent and full-time, with flexible remote working and commercial property focus for a major client in a transactional real estate team.

You will draft and negotiate leases, manage due diligence, assist on acquisitions and disposals, oversee transactions, billings, and mentor junior lawyers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ PQE in transactional real estate law in England and Wales
• Strong experience in commercial property transactions
• Experience acting for institutional landlords (desirable)
• Excellent client relationships and communication skills
• Ability to manage a busy caseload in a client-facing team
• Proactive, commercially-minded with risk awareness
• Experience with legal technology and high-volume workloads (advantage)

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating leases and related property documentation.
• Managing tenant due diligence enquiries and lease management applications.
• Supporting due diligence on acquisitions, assets entering management and disposals.
• Overseeing transaction completions and maintaining matter updates.
• Managing own caseload, including billing and WIP.
• Supervising and supporting junior lawyers and paralegals.
• Building relationships with clients and external advisers.
• Collaborating with the client team to improve processes and share best practice.
