Job summary

Kier Group is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor for the Southern Water Services team, based in working from home / Falmer. Location allows hybrid working with site/office attendance 3 days a week. You will control costs, maximise value, and maintain safety and quality on major water projects.

Role requires NEC contracts experience, strong IT skills (Excel, Oracle, Causeway), and excellent client communication. Mentoring junior staff is also expected.

Qualifications

• Experience with NEC contracts and Target Costs in construction/water/civils sectors.
• Strong IT skills with Excel; familiarity with Oracle/Causeway systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with clients.
• Motivated to learn and develop new skills while collaborating with teams.

Responsibilities

• Measuring works and preparing monthly and final payment applications.
• Monitor project costs and value, ensuring contractual notifications.
• Manage subcontract applications and assessments per contract terms.
• Support procurement strategy and value maximisation with operational teams.
• Mentor junior staff and liaise with client and subcontract commercial teams.
