Job summary

Gallagher is seeking a Property Loss Adjuster to handle a diverse caseload of property claims, working remotely with travel across the South West. You will investigate, manage and settle both commercial and domestic claims from cradle to grave, liaising with insurers, policyholders, brokers, and contractors to deliver excellent outcomes.

Strong knowledge of claims management, policy assessment and negotiation is essential, with CILA/CII qualifications desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience handling domestic and commercial property claims or losses.
• Strong knowledge of property claims management, investigation and settlement.
• Ability to assess policy coverage, liability and quantum.
• Experience liaising with insurers, policyholders, contractors and other stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of commercial and domestic property claims.
• Investigate losses and produce detailed reports and recommendations.
• Assess policy coverage, liability, scope of works and quantum.
• Negotiate settlements and pursue recoveries where appropriate.
• Liaise with insurers, policyholders, brokers, builders and other stakeholders.
• Schedule and oversee repair works where required.
• Attend client meetings and site visits.
• Contribute to claims audits and maintain accurate records.
