Job summary

Maplecroft is seeking a hands-on technical leader to guide a distributed infrastructure team across the UK and India. You will mentor engineers, set architectural direction, and deliver scalable, secure AWS-based platforms while reporting to the Head of Software.

The role centers on GRiD, DataX and GRiD 2, leveraging AWS CDK, OpenTofu, ECS Fargate, Lambda, and DynamoDB to modernise the platform, improve reliability, and influence engineering strategy.

Qualifications

• Experience leading distributed infrastructure teams across multiple sites.
• Proven ability to define cloud architecture and platform strategy.
• Strong collaboration with product and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction across two business units involving Maplecroft's AWS-based platforms.
• Guide architectural decisions, support platform modernisation, and drive engineering excellence.
• Lead and mentor engineers, shaping engineering strategy and execution.
• Partner with the Head of Software to align technical decisions with business goals.
