Job summary

Avanti Recruitment Limited is hiring a Platform Engineer to help run and improve the AWS and Kubernetes platform behind its SaaS product. The role is remote and permanent, joining a small, collaborative engineering team and contributing to on‑call responsibilities.

You’ll modernise systems, work on infrastructure projects from design to delivery, and help scale production services while ensuring reliability and security. Practical cloud experience is valued over formal certs.

Qualifications

• Must have hands‑on experience with production cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes at scale.
• Experience delivering IaC solutions using Terraform or similar tools.
• Strong monitoring/observability and incident response capabilities.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve production issues in collaboration with software engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code.
• Operate and improve production Kubernetes environments.
• Support platform reliability, performance and security.
• Investigate production issues and perform structured root cause analysis.
• Deliver infrastructure projects from design through implementation.
• Collaborate with software engineers to support new features and platform improvements.
• Take part in an on‑call rota with the wider infrastructure team.
