Job summary

Breakthrough Talent is seeking an experienced Infrastructure & Platform Engineer for a 3-month contract, fully remote with coordination with the London-based core team. You will shape and scale AWS-based infrastructure, work across Python/Django and Golang services, and drive observability, security, and platform reliability.

As a hands-on infra specialist, you will design, build, and automate cloud systems, contribute to platform strategy, and collaborate closely with backend engineers to ship

Qualifications

• Extensive AWS experience across compute, networking, storage and IAM.
• Hands-on IaC experience with Terraform or similar.
• Strong experience with Python/Django backend services.
• Experience with Golang or Go-based services in production.
• Proven ability to design and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid observability practices and tooling.
• Excellent communication skills and collaboration with product engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AWS infrastructure via IaC.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines for fast, safe deployments.
• Support Python/Django and Golang services for performance and reliability.
• Own observability: monitoring, logging, alerting.
• Improve security, cost efficiency, and resilience.
• Troubleshoot platform incidents and outages.
• Contribute to platform architecture as product grows.
