Job summary

Confidential is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join the finance team on a temporary, part-time basis. The role offers a flexible remote working arrangement with occasional attendance at the office and 25–30 hours per week, with an hourly rate of £15.00-£16.00 depending on experience.

You will support a wide range of finance activities, maintain accurate records, assist with month-end tasks, and help drive improvements across the finance function.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a busy finance function.
• AAT Level 3 qualification or above.
• Strong MS Excel skills.
• Experience with Sage or similar accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process financial transactions and maintain records accurately.
• Reconcile bank and card statements.
• Manage employee expense claims and reconciliations.
• Raise customer invoices and assist accounts receivable.
• Support month-end and year-end processes and reporting.
• Provide financial information to colleagues and assist with reports.
• Mentor junior team members and aid their development.
• Collaborate on process improvements within the finance team.
