Rethink Mental Illness is seeking an experienced Overnight Team Leader for our Black Country 24/7 Mental Health Helpline, working 12:00am–8:00am. The role covers 5 shifts per week and requires leading a small team to provide urgent night‑time support.

You will deliver direct caller support, supervise staff, and ensure safe, high‑quality, recovery‑focused services while coordinating rotas and liaising with health professionals. A strong commitment to compassionate care is essential.

Formación

• Experience in mental health, wellbeing or crisis support services.
• Experience coaching or supervising staff.
• Excellent communication and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to stay calm and supportive in challenging situations.
• Commitment to recovery‑focused, person‑centred support.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Passion for improving lives of people affected by mental illness.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, motivate and coach a small overnight team.
• Support day‑to‑day service delivery and operational oversight.
• Provide line management and development support to staff.
• Monitor performance and service quality.
• Assist with rota planning and workforce coordination.
• Support recruitment, induction and ongoing staff development.
• Build relationships with health professionals and partner organisations.
• Deliver direct support to callers experiencing mental health difficulties.
• Champion recovery‑focused practice and Rethink's values.
