Job summary

Carr Gomm is recruiting a Social Work Call Handler to support the Social Work Emergency Service outside office hours. You will be the first point of contact for vulnerable adults, older people, and families in Argyll & Bute, delivering reassurance and gathering essential information.

You'll coordinate with on-call social care teams, assess calls for emergency response, and record details accurately while managing expectations. This is a remote, shift-based role working from home in the UK.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with distressed individuals.
• Good administrative and IT skills with MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls for Social Work Emergency Service outside office hours.
• Assess calls to determine emergency response and liaise with out-of-hours team.
