Job summary

Tether Ltd. is seeking a Product Engineering Lead to turn the company’s AI-first vision into tangible features for on-device, privacy-preserving AI. You will lead the teams building QV.AC features atop our local AI stack, reporting to the CTO and partnering with product to align what gets built with user needs.

The role blends 70% engineering leadership with 30% product work, requiring hands-on leadership, architectural thinking, and a passion for responsible AI at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating engineers or engineering leads who ship consumer products.
• Strong product sense to distinguish valuable features from busy ones.
• Intuition for on-device AI and resource constraints (latency, memory, power).
• Heavy use of AI tools in your own work and experimentation with models.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and React for product apps.
• Initiative, curiosity, resilience, and openness to direct critique.

Responsibilities

• Run the app and feature teams day-to-day: unblock, review, and ship features.
• Set and uphold a high engineering bar for performance, reliability, and clean APIs.
• Own the technical design of features and API surfaces between AI core and the app.
• Collaborate with AI research and deep tech teams on code reviews and model-related work.
• Mentor team leads, develop scalable operating systems, and drive team growth.
