The role involves translating patient records into ICD-10 and OPCS codes, ensuring accuracy for NHS reporting and funding, across multiple specialties.

The ideal candidate will hold an Accredited Clinical Coding (ACC) qualification, have strong IT skills, and be able to work independently and with clinicians.

Qualifications

• ACC qualification is mandatory.
• Experience with ICD-10 and OPCS coding.
• Strong IT skills and knowledge of data protection.

Responsibilities

• Analyse patient records and extract diagnostic and procedural information.
• Translate information into ICD-10 and OPCS codes.
• Enter coding data into PAS using encoding software.
• Ensure coding is accurate and meets deadlines.
• Support clinicians and other staff on coding practices.
