Job summary

Mersey West Lancashire NHS Trust is seeking a Clinical Coding Delivery Manager to lead the Coding Delivery Team across MWL sites. The role ensures timely and accurate coding to support SUS deadlines and Payment by Results, with hybrid and flexible working options.

You will manage day-to-day operations, liaising with clinicians and senior staff to review complex cases and maintain high coding standards. Applicants should have ACC qualification and managerial experience.

Qualifications

• ACC qualification in clinical coding.
• Degree level education or equivalent.
• Managerial qualification or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of national coding standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational delivery management for the clinical coding team.
• Oversee day-to-day coding processes and SUS deadline adherence.
• Manage coding queries and liaise with clinicians on coding decisions.
• Plan workload and supervise the delivery team to meet objectives.
• Travel across MWL sites as needed.
