Job summary

Babcock is recruiting a Motor Vehicle Skills Assessor to coach and assess apprentices across the South West. You will work remotely with regular travel to sites, delivering coaching, assessing progress and guiding learners through qualifications to ERP readiness.

The role emphasizes building strong relationships with learners and employers while meeting CPD and compliance requirements in a defence sector context.

Qualifications

• Qualified assessor with substantial experience.
• Background in motor vehicle or engineering environment.
• Understanding of work-based learning and apprenticeships.
• Experience helping learners achieve qualifications and standards.
• Ability to build relationships with learners, employers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Deliver workplace coaching, assessment and tailored support to apprentices.
• Monitor and record learner progress with compliant documentation.
• Provide feedback and training to support End Point Assessment readiness.
• Build relationships with learners, employers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain professional standards and CPD compliance.
