Exeter College is seeking a motivated Motor Vehicle Assessor to join our Construction, Engineering & Motor Vehicle team. You will visit employers, support apprentices in the workplace, and assess practical skills to help learners thrive.

You'll build strong partnerships with local employers, arrange workplace assessments and observations, coach learners toward qualifications, and use digital systems like OneFile to track progress.

Qualifications

• Background in Motor Vehicle or a closely related discipline.
• Experience teaching, coaching, mentoring or training.
• Holds an assessor qualification or is willing to work towards one.
• Natural communicator who enjoys building relationships.
• Can work independently while being a great team player.
• Committed to continuous professional development.
• Friendly, positive, and approachable attitude to work every day.

Responsibilities

• Support and assess learners completing the workplace element of their programme.
• Build strong relationships with local employers and placement providers.
• Arrange and carry out workplace assessments and observations.
• Coach and guide learners towards achieving their qualifications.
• Help source exciting new placement opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with teaching teams to support learner success.
• Use digital assessment systems such as OneFile to track progress.
• Promote the department and identify recruitment opportunities.
• Ensure workplaces meet health, safety and compliance requirements.
