Babcock is seeking a Motor Vehicle Skills Assessor to coach and assess apprentices across sites in the South West, with remote elements and travel to multiple sites. You’ll guide learners through programmes, support qualification achievement and prepare them for End Point Assessment.

As a Motor Vehicle Skills Assessor, you'll play a vital role in developing a skilled and capable workforce for the future. Working directly with apprentices in the workplace, you'll provide coaching, assessment and guidance that helps learners build their skills, achieve qualifications and progress confidently through their programmes. Your expertise will directly support operational excellence, customer satisfaction and long-term talent development across the defence sector.
Please note that this position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role.
The role is based remotely, with travel required to sites across the South West including Tidworth, Lyneham, Warminster, Colerne, Larkhill, Bulford and Wiltshire. The set working times are Monday to Friday, totalling 37 hours per week.
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) and Enhanced Disclosure Barring Service(EDBS) security clearance for this role.
