Job summary

Burns Sheehan is seeking a Lead Data Scientist / Machine Learning Team Lead in the UK. The role combines ML engineering, data science and technical leadership with ownership of platform evolution. You'll lead a talented team and drive production ML initiatives, including monitoring, deployment and strategic direction.

The position offers remote UK work with monthly travel to Manchester and quarterly in-person meetups, and a competitive salary of £90k-£100k+ depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Machine Learning experience.
• Experience building and deploying ML models in production.
• Recent experience with Apache Spark.
• Track record of leading and developing engineers/data scientists.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve production machine learning models.
• Own the full ML lifecycle from development to deployment, monitoring and optimisation.
• Work with large-scale streaming data environments.
• Help shape technical direction and platform strategy.
• Lead and develop a team across ML Engineering, Data Science and Data Engineering.
