Job summary

First Central Services UK Ltd seeks a Lead Machine Learning & AI Engineer to drive production-ready ML/AI capabilities within the Data & Analytics function. You will coach a small team of ML Ops Engineers and AI engineers while collaborating with data science, pricing, and software teams.

The role is a flexible hybrid position with predominantly home-based work and occasional office days in Salford Quays (Manchester) or other locations.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building end-to-end systems as a Platform Engineer, ML DevOps Engineer, or Data Engineer.
• Experience applying agile methods in data science, ML and AI environments.
• Experience designing or maintaining CI/CD and data software lifecycles.
• Coaching experience and ability to lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Grow and evolve ML & AI engineering standards and frameworks.
• Design enhancements to data pipelines and engineering infrastructure for scaled ML/AI solutions.
• Support model development with auditability, versioning, and data security.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data engineers, AI engineers and software team.
• Lead group discussions on system design and architecture.
