Job summary

Burns Sheehan Ltd is partnering with a fast-growing AI-native SaaS scale-up in the UK. We seek an Engineering Lead to guide small squads (up to 4 engineers) while staying hands-on across React, Node.js/TypeScript, and GCP/AWS.

You’ll help shape scalable features and mentor engineers as the product expands. The role is remote-first in the UK with a hybrid London office option, offering up to £150,000 per year plus equity.

Qualifications

• Experience leading small engineering teams while contributing technically.
• Strong backend development in Node.js and TypeScript; Go is a plus.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures on GCP or AWS.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small squad while remaining hands-on in codebase.
• Contribute across the stack (React, Node.js/TypeScript, GCP).
• Shape and deliver features for scale and collaborate with product/design.
• Promote engineering best practices and raise technical bar.
• Mentor and coach team members in growth.
