Job summary

Mimica is an AI-powered data intelligence platform enabling enterprises to transform raw data into clean, structured outputs. We are a remote-first company with teams distributed across 16+ countries, seeking a Machine Learning Engineer/Data Scientist to own ML pipelines end-to-end and build LLM judges, evaluations, and production-ready models.

You will work on OCR/text inputs, experiments, prompts, and model choices, shaping systems that scale and deliver value to real users.

Qualifications

• Solid machine learning/data science background with understanding of experimental design, data splits, metrics, bias, and significance.
• Hands-on experience applying LLMs in production or near-production settings, building eval sets and benchmarks.
• Comfortable working with messy data, exploring, troubleshooting, and turning insights into measurable improvements.
• Strong Python and engineering skills; write clear, tested code for production.
• Ability to work independently on ambiguous problems and define acceptance criteria to ship.
• Excellent English communication, able to explain trade-offs to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own, debug, and improve production ML pipelines for accuracy and efficiency.
• Design, build, and iterate on LLM evals and LLM-as-a-judge systems, including datasets and benchmarks.
• Run experiments on prompts, pipeline design, and model choices; turn results into recommendations.
• Drive LLM efficiency improvements by comparing models, restructuring steps, and using smaller models where appropriate.
• Expand anonymization pipelines by evaluating/adapting existing models.
• Collaborate with Python/quality engineers to move experiments into production and ship code.
• Document findings in experiment reports and design docs.
